Back in the 1830's. "German" regiments of the Austrian line infantry received long light blue cloth trousers with a white edging along the lateral seams. In 1849 a long-breasted, double-breasted uniform of the former white color was introduced. The Shaver of the 1850 sample had a coat of arms in the form of a two-headed imperial eagle and a yellow-black cockade. The shelves differed in the color of the collar, cuffs, shoulder straps and piping on the side and bottom of the floor. The ammunition consisted of a knapsack with a bowler hat and a gray greatcoat tied to it. On the white leather bandages were attached a black cartridge bag with a white capsule bag and a bayonet in a sheath. The rifle had a white shoulder strap.
