II Auxiliary (Adjutrix) legion (Legio II Adjutrix Iterum Pia Fidelis) was formed under Emperor Vespasian in the year 70. "Auxiliary" (Adjutrix - assistant) - indicates the military unit created at a difficult time to assist the active forces. The Legion counted up to 5 thousand foreigners and up to 3 hundred cavalrymen. Legion's emblem was the winged horse Pegasus.

The officer wears a bronze helmet with a crest of alternating rows of red and blue feathers. Nashchniki also close and ears, which is typical for cavalry helmets. The body's protection is a leather corset subarmale with strips of pterygas framing the waist and shoulders. The chest is decorated with awards - silver phaler and gold hryvnia. Red belt sashes are decorated with bronze pads. Tunic and pants are blue. Shield - scutum hexagonal form of red color, decorated with a superimposed copper ornament. Dolphins, wrapping the Neptune tridents, serve as a reminder of the marine origin of the legion.
